I just had a pretty intense dance party in my room with the dogs....now it hurts to bend my right elbow...I'm blaming it on too much arm flailing and fist pumping. #dancepartyproblems.Yes, I did just hashtag in the middle of a blog/note where hashtagging means virtually nothing. Get over it. We were rocking out to Avicii
"Wake Me Up" and that requires intense dancing. How could I not!? It's the most energy I've exerted all day since I'm sickly and aside from running to work to pull my thinners out of my locked drawers so that the girls could give them to the sharpener when he comes today I have been pretty much laying in my bed, drinking coffee and eating food. Oh yeah and posting a million pictures and videos from the Lady Antebellum concert that I went to on Friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was beyond epic. And if you follow me on Facebook you're probably thoroughly sick of hearing and seeing about it...well guess what....too bad! When I obsess over something, I obsess over it. And I'm a very obsessive person...in case you hadn't already noticed that ;) And that concert was DEFINITELY worth obsessing over!!!! I mean, in case you haven't heard yet, I TOUCHED Lady Antebellum!!! Well, one of them. I touched Hillary Scott, and there's an uber creepy picture of my hand on her arm on Facebook to prove it! Go check it out and tell me that it isn't the creepiest picture you've ever seen! Actually I'll just post it on here so I don't inconvenience you by having to go to Facebook...I'd hate to ever inconvenience someone... (that was sarcasm btw) I'm mainly just posting it on here so that you HAVE to see the amazing picture of me touching Hillary Scott... cuz I'm not obsessing over the whole night or anything...
on another note: I hate how my hands look :P I always have... It's just one of those weird things. I think I have funny looking hands, and apparently creepy looking ones too. Oh well... I'll just make sure to avoid the hand shots in my wedding photos when I get married someday years from now. I could have touched Kip Moore as well since he was standing on a chair right in front of my face (well the chair he was standing on was technically behind my chair, but since I turned around it was then in front of me....I know confusing right?!)But since he had his back to me the whole time he was singing I don't think there would have been any appropriate way for me to so I refrained. Aren't you all proud?! Here's more proof of the amazing night...
So I think the only reason I shall leave my house today is for a Starbucks, Whole Foods and Goodwill run. 1. I always need more coffee (I am NOT addicted....) 2. I'm out of Kind Bars (the best and healthiest granola bars you'll ever eat!) and yogurt 3. I haven't searched through the treasures at Goodwill in a long time so I think I'm due. And I want a black denim skirt, which means that I'm probably going to have to find some black denim pants and turn them into a skirt. Which is tedious and annoying but since no one makes cute, knee length skirts (at least black denim ones) I guess that's my only option. Pooey. I have a paper bag overflowing with sewing projects (most of them oddly enough are from the Goodwill lol!) I just never seem to have time to work on them! And I'm still pretty clueless when it comes to sewing so I need my mom around and free to babysit me and answer my 5 million questions and make sure I'm not like sewing my finger into the fabric or anything...you know...the types of things highly intelligent blonde girls do. I don't claim blonde status. I was born with red hair and it just blonded out over time therefore I am not a true blonde, therefore I am not stupid. I will just keep telling myself that the rest of my life and everything will be lovely :) Ignorance is bliss, right?! Therefore, denial is bliss. That's my logic on the topic. I am a great advocate for living in denial. I'm not addicted to coffee, I'm not "a blonde",I'm not OCD, my dogs don't get absolutely anything and everything they want, I'm not a book hoarder, I don't have way too many clothes....see denial is beautiful. It's different when you're living in denial and know exactly what you're living in denial about....another thing I just keep telling myself lol!! JK jk ... I don't ACTUALLY advocate living in denial...most of the time... ;) There's just nothing like a pair of warm, fuzzy slipper boots that make it look like you're wearing the abominable snowman on your feet. One of the best Christmas presents for sure. And they have pom poms on them. Who knew the abominable snowman wore pom poms!? I certainly didn't....
I'm super proud of myself...I haven't been to Target in over a week!!!! I'm actually more concerned than I am proud because that is NOT normal behaviour for me. Normally I'm there 3-5 times a week! I usually end up going twice on my day off somehow... If this is what being too busy does to me than it needs to stop. My Target runs are very important. But I do have more money in my checking account oddly enough...I don't understand. I also don't understand how I go into Target for one thing and come out with 5...it's like things just jump into my hands, basket, cart, etc without me knowing!!! Weird, right?! Target must be magical... I think that's it. Speaking of Target I think I want fruit snacks and Target's magical coupon printer offer thingy at check out printed out a coupon for fruit snacks for me...which is kind of weird because I never really buy fruit snacks. Every now and then when I'm going on a road trip or something I'll buy a box, but hardly ever. So maybe I will go to Target today...or maybe I'll make the healthy decision and just not buy any. I do attempt to be a healthy person most of the time. But then I have days like yesterday where I ate a tiny little piece of chocolate (organic chocolate mind you), but then Lorna Doone cookies were on sale at Walgreens for 99 cents, so I bought a box and then suddenly realized that I had eaten like 5 of them! And then my coworker had made Madeleine cookies (yum!) on Sunday night and she brought 4 of them to work for me and so then I ate 2 of those and THEN a customer came in to pick up her dog and brought in a 6 pack of Valentine cupcakes...so I HAD to eat one of those too...I mean I couldn't offend her or anything right?! Yeah .... yesterday was a fall off the sugar band wagon day. Oh well, it has to happen every now and then
right?! Speaking of Madeleine cookies...I still have the other 2 in my purse next to me right now... I think I shall eat them :) Yep, they still taste delicious...Rue is trying to eat it out of my hand as I type... I will fight her for it. Don't get between me and my food, it'll get ugly real fast. She came to her senses and laid back down. Good, I'd hate to have to fight my own dog... ;) Especially since she's just so stinkin cute! Even more so when there's food around. How exactly do dogs do that?! They turn into the world's cutest thing ever the second food appears....why can't I do that when a cute guy walks in the room or something?! LOL! Just kidding!!! kind of.... ahem... moving on..... I am not a huge cat person, but today I find myself wearing a shirt with a cat on the front of it. Why?! Because it was really cute and on sale... at Target... Natalie was like "You don't even like cats..." to which I replied, "I know, but I like this shirt." A very logical answer. Seriously, what did I do during my dance party?! My elbow hurts!!!!! It kind of feels like when I started going to the gym and gave myself tendinitis in my elbow because I was lifting too much weight without working up to it (big body builder Abby over here....better watch out!). Is it possible to give yourself tendinitis from dancing? Only me. Because I'm just that "special". Rue doesn't really dance with me...she just punches me and tries to bite my hands the whole time... which isn't very nice. And then she starts jumping around and barking and then Sadie gets upset because we're being too loud and crazy for her and so then she starts trying to herd Rue to keep her in a specific area and then she's barking and biting at Rue's ankles and I'm still dancing and singing at the top of my lungs (usually it's not THAT pretty either...) and somehow my parent's haven't kicked me out yet. Which is shocking because when I'm home there isn't a moments peace in this house :) They didn't know what they were getting into when they had me >:) It's ok, I'm the favorite anyways (remember the whole living in denial thing...this one is my favorite out of all of them...that I'm the favorite child!) I suppose that I should probably go eat more food or something... what else do you do when you're laying around your house waiting for your sister to get home so that you can go buy more coffee and food and clothes...

Learning the Art of Relaxation
I am starting the new year of 2014 attempting to learn the art of relaxation. Well try to learn 2 different arts....that of balance and that of relaxation. While I have never considered myself to be a workaholic I have realized over the past few years that intentionally relaxing is not something I really do. And the times that I have attempted to, I find it virtually impossible because the entire time I'm stewing over what I should be or could be doing, thus making my time of relaxation rather stressful and hard to enjoy. I have found myself rereading the same page of a book literally 5 times over because I didn't comprehend anything that I read the 4 previous times because I was dwelling on this or that project that needed to be done. I, quite frankly, am sick and tired of feeling guilty over taking time out to do something calming and relaxing. I am exhausted. My body aches because I haven't had enough time in my schedule to book a chiropractic appointment for myself so I suck it up, deal with the pain and keep going. But no more. This girl is putting her foot down. Am I going to become an irresponsible, lazy slob?! No. But I AM going to start setting aside a little bit of time for me. To take care of me.
There is nothing wrong with having a lazy morning every now and then. I am thoroughly enjoying one right now! I don't work until 12:30 today so what am I doing with my morning you ask....well I will tell you! I woke up around 8 a.m. (which is majorly sleeping in for me!), proceeded to lay in bed occasionally dozing off until 8:30ish, then I STILL stayed in bed and read a couple of chapters in a book I have been attempting to read for a year now (yes, a YEAR! This coming from a girl who can read a decent sized book in under 5 hours...shows you just how much time I've been taking out to do a thing I love most - read.). After that I got up, got dressed, did my hair, washed my face, and meandered down to the kitchen where I cooked up 2 scrambled eggs, fried up a left over dumpling from Christmas (my favorite breakfast food ever!), made myself a cup of coffee and grabbed an apple. I sat down and ate my delicious breakfast while browsing Pinterest on my phone and checking my emails. I am still working on my yummy cup of coffee now while I sit here blogging (another thing I always enjoyed but only got around to doing a couple of times last year). Through all of this I have determined that slowly sipping my cup of coffee is much more enjoyable than guzzling it down as I rush out the door for work. Granted that probably won't change on the mornings that I do work....
When your doctor looks at you and tells you at 23 (this was early last year) that you are adrenaly exhausted and on the verge of being adrenaly burnt out (aka your adrenal glands cannot produce any more adrenaline because you have completely depleted them and they take a very long time to recover and replenish) it's time to slow down and take some things into consideration. But why has it taken me a whole year to do that?! Because I never slowed down enough to stop and think about much of anything at all...there was always this and that and the other thing that needed doing. Will I still live a busy life? Yes. I work 40 hours a week, take a French class one night a week, have church 3 times a week and am one of the Arts Department Directors of the aforementioned church, not to mention I have 2 dogs to take care of, chores around the house and a very small social life that I attempt to keep going so that I don't find myself exhausted AND friendless! BUT in the year of 2014 I am committing to learning how to balance my life out in order to both accomplish everything that needs to be done in a timely matter but to also allow myself some rest and relaxation, time to do the things I love to do that I haven't been able to do and enjoy in a long while. So if you see me running around like a chicken with it's head cutoff, looking stressed out, looking exhausted or hating my life just stop me and ask me how the whole balanced life/relaxation thing is going... I'll probably need a reminder now and again. Things must be prioritized or everything will seem like the #1 task to be done. And that's when the stress and overwhelming occurs. I'm young, I should be enjoying my life, not dreaded what needs to be done the next day. SO here's to a happier, less stressful, more enjoyable 2014! Happy New Year!!!

Conflict of Interests
I have been in such a "nesting" mood lately! I want to go buy a cute little house and decorate the whole thing! Me and Natalie used to always talk about how when we were adults we would buy a little house together, but now that we are adults and at that place in our lives we have come to the realization that it would actually be a bad idea to do that. With our luck we would buy a house and then shortly after one of us would get married or decide to move away (like me moving to France or something wonderful like that), therefore leaving the other poor sister with a house to pay for and keep up on. So since I can't have a cute little house to decorate I keep wanting to do stuff to my room, but there is only so much you can do with, and to, one bedroom! I am slowly but surely finishing building my bookcase, which is one big project that I have had. And I want to buy a new chair for my room....I just have the big round, nylon chair that I've had since before college and it needs to go. It just doesn't quite fit with the Paris/French theme to my room. But I'm really poor right now because January through March are the slowest times at work. So on the one hand I am super nesty, wanting a place of my own, etc but on the other hand I am, as usual, wanting to run off on an adventure and go to all sorts of different places! These 2 things do NOT go hand in hand. One can't buy a house and then run off and travel the world, it is highly unpractical. Therefore I am choosing the second option and shall travel the world and enjoy my freedom and simply suffer through all of these decorating, renovating and redoing urges that I have. I am blaming Pinterest and HGTV for all of this. They inspire me and I have no outlet for all of that inspiration! Ugh!
I suppose that since I am single, free and wild that I should take advantage of that and see and do all that I can....and I fully intend on doing so. Hopefully Hawaii this year, Africa (a missions trip with my parents) next year, and who knows where else! And of course hopefully back to France sometime in the near future. This girl will not survive much longer without a trip back to France. I will simply wilt and wither away :( I need the following: to be surrounded by the beautiful sound of French floating through the air, to be walking through the winding streets of Montmarte, to be enjoying the amazing view of Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower, and catching a breezy lunch along the Seine River.
I have just come to the realization that my next weekend with nothing planned is the 2nd weekend in April. This is just depressing. How can a 23 year old have sooooo much happening in her life?! I feel like time is simply slipping away from me! How is it already February of 2013?! Why am I always sleep deprived?! And I don't get a legit vacation until August :P That seems like an eternity away. Oh well... I shall work hard and then do whatever I please when my vacation comes. I have this great dilemma when it comes to my money, since I am so poor right now I have to prioritize how to use my meager funds. I obviously have my rent, phone, car payment and car insurance every month but outside of that I must decide which of the following I should spend what little I have left on. There is 1) French classes (I am already missing this 10 week session due to lack of funds), 2) Rue's advanced training class (she's graduating from intermediate tomorrow night! *fingers crossed* lol!) or 3) glasses (I've had these ones for almost 2 1/2 years and therefore should have my eyes rechecked and my glasses are getting loose from getting knocked about by dogs at work all the time). I do have eye insurance so my check up would be covered. And I think my lenses and part of my frames would be covered as well. Soooo if I miss ANOTHER session of French classes then I could probably do Rue's advanced classes AND my glasses...but I REALLY hate missing French class :( And I can't take French during the summer because they switch the class schedule and then it doesn't fit with my work schedule. I feel like I get behind when I take time off and have to spend the first few weeks playing catch up. And I loose my comfort-ability speaking in French, and I resort back to my self-conscious, scaredy-cat ways (aka rarely say anything in French and have to have it all perfectly thought out in my mind before saying it out loud) I hate having to make these responsible decisions. I just need to be a millionaire :) I would simply use my tax returns for all of this but I'm putting most of the money on my car and keeping the rest to put towards my vacation. I'm hoping to have my 3 year car loan paid off in 2 years! Then I will have all that extra money every month to put towards other things! Such a glorious thought. Extra money, who doesn't like that!?

Life and Vacation
I am slowly coming to some realizations in my life. After getting back from France I knew that I was suppose to be at home, and that I am still suppose to be here, but I have been trying to figure out why....since I feel majorly purposeless and pointless. I have, over the last couple of months, realized a couple of reasons as to why I am still where I am. Granted I still kind of feel like I'm wandering in the dark, waiting for something to happen... Those reasons for me being where I am are that 1. the Lord knew that my sister would need someone to come on board and be co-music director with her (cue Abby), 2. there are relationships that have been made and previously established relationships that have grown in which I have been able to play a role in that persons life, have been there for them when they needed someone and if I had already moved on and gone somewhere else those things wouldn't have happened. There have been a lot of doors that have opened and good things that have happened. I may not still feel satisfied with my life or where I am at, but reminding myself of those reasons that God has kept me here has helped me to keep plugging on. I also know that I am suppose to be using this time to work on me. Which is something I've been procrastinating....no one likes looking at the flaws in themselves and having to correct them.... and who likes "working" on anything!? Lol! Sooooo I am beginning to attempt this whole "working on myself" project, which also includes me working on my relationship with Jesus. That parts not so bad....I mean who doesn't like getting closer to Jesus?! I am sure I have now made everyone think that I hate being in MN and want to be somewhere else...this isn't entirely true. I love Minnesota, I love my family, I love my church, I love my job, and I love my coworkers, but I'm not gonna lie if I could pack my bags and head to France right now I would. But don't worry I'd come back to visit often...or you could all just come visit me! I'm a fabulous tour guide when it comes to Paris :)
I'm on a mini vaca right now and I'm loving it! It's only a 2 day vacation...and today is day 2 :( But it has been fabulously relaxing. I did absolutely nothing yesterday and have done absolutely nothing today.. and it has been wonderful. I can't tell you the last time I did nothing. Who knew that driving 4 1/2 hours to the Dells for just a couple days of nothing could be the best thing ever! Well nothing other than hanging out with the fam :) I do miss my puppies terribly though :( I dropped Rue off on Saturday night at a coworkers house and that night the house seemed so quiet and empty and Sadie seemed so confused. And then when we dropped Sadie off at the boarding facility on Sunday she tried to bolt for the door to get back out to the car, which is just heartbreaking. And I have had no furry friends to keep me warm and cuddle with at night!
But there was some great road trip moments with Natalie on the way down here... like me yelling at Dad, who was driving in front of me, from my car about his speed. And then there's my amazing car dancing skills and the way I just belt out my amazing Taylor Swift imitation to every T-Swift song that comes on the radio. I do this thing where I play air guitar, while driving, while singing like Taylor Swift...it's the safest thing I've ever done ;) Since I'm on vacation I have happily eaten whatever I want! I have eaten close to half a box of mini donuts, chocolate cake, ice cream, doritos, and all those other sorts of foods that I NEVER eat and are foreign substances to me. I have done 4 puzzles, watched National Geographic, HGTV, and Animal Planet while sitting in front of the fireplace, stayed up late and slept in, taken nice long hot showers (I love using other peoples hot water that I don't have to pay for!), and hung out with my fam and the Leonardsons...which is always a party and a good time! All in all it's been a successful mini vacation!
I can't wait to get my tax returns back so that I can stick most of them on my car....yaaayyyyy!! If I can pay on it like I want to (aka most of my tax returns this year and next year and paying a little extra throughout the year) I will hopefully have my 3 year loan paid off in 2 years. The rest of my tax returns will go towards the dream vacation that I am hoping to take this year. I am REALLY hoping that everything will work out and I will get to go where I am planning on going...which I will not mention where so that if I don't go everyone won't have to suffer the huge disappointment with me... ok so I'm hoping and planning on going to Hawaii with Natalie...there I said it. Now if I don't go you can all hear my long lament about it. I've found several really good packages to go there and now would be the best time for me to do it... I'm single, have minimal bills and have vacation time to use! No better time than the present I say! Maybe next year I'll fulfill my biggest vacation dream and break the bank and go to New Zealand and from there go to Australia. That one is definitely not as probable...but I can dream right?! Ok I'm being forced to go play a game with the family...my blogging must come to an end.

My growing family
Yeah so it's been a while!!! I've been meaning to blog but there's been this small thing called my brother's wedding that's been taking up most of my time. It happened on Saturday and was perfect and beautiful and wonderful! :) It seems to me that I get all of my blogging ideas and inspirations when I'm trying to fall asleep...or am in the process of falling asleep...and then I don't remember it the next day or am no longer quite so passionate about whatever I was ranting about in my half delusional state the night before... But I just got home from my second week of French class (Intermediate level 1....yay I'm moving up in the world!!!) and while at class had a happy reminder that gentlemen do indeed still exist! (Shocker, I know!) Now if you are a guy reading this do not take that as a man-bashing comment...because it's not. Any guy that is in my family or is a friend of mine would all do kind, gentlemanly things for me....but guys that don't know you have ceased to do random nice things for women. That is the kind of gentlemanly behavior that I am talking about. We were half way through our 3 hour class and me and another girl were sitting right under the 2 air vents in the room. The other girl (whose name I don't know....it's only the 2nd class remember...) said something about it being cold. So an older man that is in our class said "I'll switch with you, I'm always hot!" so they switched. I just sat there quietly and didn't say anything even though I too, was cold. The other guy in the class, a younger guy prolly in his early-mid twenties, waited a minute or two and then stopped the class to ask me if I was cold too. I had been sitting with my arms crossed and noticed him looking at me after the other girl switched but didn't think much of it because obviously I wasn't expecting some guy that I don't know to do something nice for me. I said that I was but I would be fine and he said "No, let's switch, I can sit there." for which I was very grateful for and we promptly switched chairs. So for all of those doubters...like me....there are still gentlemen and they aren't guys over 50 who were raised to be that way! Ok so there's my happy thought for the day :)
In other news....my little family has grown since the last time I blogged...which I'm sure you all know about anyways since I'm continually posting pics of my life on facebook for the whole world to see. Back in March (the 15th to be exact) I bought Ellie, my beautiful '06 Volkswagen Jetta...so we just had our 6 month anniversary on Saturday. We're quite the happy pair!
She runs like a dream and has a sunroof, a sport option so that I can drive really fast :) heated leather seats, a nice big trunk, premium sound system, satellite radio (if I want to pay for it), a 6 cd changer...oh and the list could go on. Basically I love her! We've gone to Indy and back and made 2 trips to Madison and will be going to St Louis in 2 weeks! I got approved for my very own loan (no co-signers or anything!) which was pretty much a miracle since I've never had a loan of any kind before!
The second new member to my little family is Rue! My new (very naughty) puppy! I got her back on June 9th while my whole family was in Madison :) You really shouldn't leave me home alone for a weekend... I buy cute puppies off of Craigslist! The fam knew I was looking for a puppy but hadn't been having any luck in my search and it just so happened that while they were gone I found her on Craigslist and took a coworker with me to look at her and what do ya know she came home with me! :)

She was 6 weeks old when I picked her up...she is now almost 22 weeks old .... so approximately 5 months old. She is a black and tan coon hound, pointer and something else I can't remember mix. But she pretty much just looks like the coon hound. She's ridiculously cute, extremely stubborn and kinda naughty. My mom says she's just like me.... I don't think she means it as a complement either :P She just got spayed on Monday so she gets to wear a cone and she hates it so much! She's terrified of the thing so whenever she starts getting naughty we just pull it out and then she runs away and starts acting like a good dog.
Pitiful huh!? Sadie gets along with her pretty well...she acts like she doesn't really like her but she misses her if I take her to work with me so we know it's all lies!
Friday I pick up my newest baby....and iPhone 5!!!! EEEKKKKKK!!! *happy dance* I've been waiting for it to come out since February when I almost got the iPhone 4s but decided to wait for the 5. I ordered it in black and it's going to look amazing! So basically the year of 2012 has consisted of my family growing and/or God blessing me :) And speaking of growing families I now have a new sister...technically a sister-in-law but who likes to say that whole mouth full! Scotia is now a Thompson and we are all so happy about it! We love her to death and couldn't be more happy with Nate's choice! I mean really look how cute they are:
It was an honor to stand in their wedding....and then to dance back down the aisle :D A friend so kindly told me that I was my own version of 27 Dresses since I've now been in 4 weddings and have 2 more that I've already been asked to be in...and since some of my other close friends are dating now too we'll see how many more I'll be in in the next year or 2 :P in the words of a coworker: "Always a bridesmaid and never a bride huh?!" lol! I'll have a closet full of fabulous dresses that's for sure!
Ok, I think I've inundated you enough for one night.... maybe my next post will be a little more interesting and not so much a life update...who likes those anyways?! Goodnight all!Tuesday, February 28, 2012
Inspiration Without Ideas
So I absolutely love the story Julie and Julia...and I have since it first came out. I love it for many reasons 1) because it obviously reminds me of Paris, all of my wonderful memories there and makes me miss it soooo much 2) it makes me think of my fabulous friend America, who I first watched the movie with and who I still plan on deboning a chicken with! 3) it's about food...and I love food...especially French food 4) it inspires and motivates me to do something similar. And that is where I run into a problem. I was thinking about this story the other night and was once again filled with inspiration and motivation...I wanted to start my own Julie/Julia project right then and there....quite literally because it took me like an hour or more to fall asleep cuz my mind wouldn't stop running...quite irritating... anyways, so I get all of this inspiration and motivation and then proceed to get stuck at the same exact place as I always do when I think about this. I have NO idea what to do! I want to do the same type of thing, set a goal of something to accomplish within a years time, I just might not blog about it.... or I might.. you never know ;) Cooking is out of the question, even though I have the Julia Child cookbooks, because I just don't love cooking...sad story I know. And like in the story it needs to be something I enjoy, like she says, cooking is an escape for her from her every day life. But also like in the story I want it to be something that will either better me, or hone a craft/talent....not just something that won't benefit me in the end because then that's just a wasted year of my life. So ideas I have thrown around but squashed are reading like 100 books in a year (I LOVE reading) but then I thought about it and unless all of those books are like self-help, beneficial books I won't benefit from it...and I can tell you now that if I read 100 books they are not all going to be educational, improvement books...sooo I threw that idea out the window. Then I thought about learning so many new classical piano pieces...but then I thought about that one too and was like, really Abby, how often do you just go sit down and play the piano...not that often. I do love playing the piano, but it's not like a huge passion or anything, not like my sister. So I feel like I wouldn't fully enjoy that or possibly not accomplish it....sooo I threw that idea out too. My newest idea is kind of a vague one, and I'm not sure how it would work, but if I did so many crafty projects: like embroidery, photo editing, sewing, etc. because I do like doing all of that stuff, I'm trying to get an Etsy account started and that would push me to do that and make some money off of it, and it would be bettering a talent.... but I'm still not completely sold on the idea...partially because I'm not exactly sure how I would set the goal, or how it would all work out...anyhoo. So I bursting with this motivation and have no idea where to go with it. So if anybody reads this silly blog of mine at all.... and if you have any suggestions, PLEASE feel free to comment with your suggestion, email me, facebook me, text me, etc with your idea. because I REALLY want to do this. I feel like right now I need a goal, an enjoyable yet challenging goal. And I feel like I'm in the perfect place in my life to do this. I am busy but not over the top busy. I don't have other people that I necessarily have to worry about taking care of...it's just me! So yeah, shoot me any suggestions and ideas you may have or tweak any of the ones I mentioned that you think might still work. Thanks!

My Funny Valentine
It's Valentine's Day....and I have the best Valentine in the world...and no I am NOT about to say Jesus like all of the other Christian girls that don't want to feel like a loser on Valentine's....I have Sadie, my puppy dog :)
And the reasons why she is the best Valentine ever are as follows: she loves me unconditionally, she gives me kisses when I cry or am upset, she jumps and dances with me when I'm happy and excited, she is perfectly content to lay in bed and snuggle with me when I feel like it, she will watch any movie with me...and keep my feet warm while watching it too! lol....she never decides that she likes someone else, she will never break my heart, she stares at me with those big, beautiful brown eyes and melts my heart, she tries her hardest to always please me, I don't ever have to do things to try to impress her...she loves me for me :) ... I don't have to get dressed up and put on airs to get her attention, she goes on long walks with me, she never complains, she listens to me when I ramble on or vent, she hates it when I leave, she misses me like crazy when I'm gone and is beyond excited to see me every time I walk through the door :) the list could continue to go on and on but I think that this will suffice for making my point that I really do have the best Valentine ever...and while she might not buy me chocolates and flowers, she loves me everyday of the year and is always there for me and that my friends is worth WAY more than chocolate and flowers...and yes I do realize that this is a dog I'm talking about ....but that saying is just oh so true... "the more people I meet, the more I like my dog"...People come and go, love you, hurt you, annoy you, etc...but not a dog! I have been made very aware lately that I am indeed still single, but instead of moping around and/or being bitter on Valentine's day I am choosing to be happy, enjoy this day and be thankful for the wonderful Valentine that I do have in my life! Not to mention that there is always my daddy who has been the best Valentine a girl could ask for every year for the past 22 years :) I will most likely go buy myself some chocolates and maybe some pretty flowers today, because no one knows better than me just how wonderful I am! ;) Lol! I have always seen this day as just another really good excuse for me to buy myself and consume delicious chocolates and it be completely acceptable! And I am always on the look out for those kinds of excuses :D Chocolate really is a girl's best friend...I have never understood girls that don't like chocolate...there must be something REALLY wrong there...they prolly need some meds and therapy... just sayin. I will be spending my Valentine's day at PetSmart, covering a coworker's shift so she can spend the day with her bf since I am the only single one left lol! But I get to spend the evening with 2 of my favorite boys!! Hank (a request shih tzu puppy) and Rio (cutest yorkie puppy ever!) so I am guaranteed a night full of puppy kisses! :) Who could be mad about that!? Not me!
